Introspection and Beyond

Jewish Feasts and Holy Days

This page is a collection of thoughts, both mine and others, as well as studies from the Bible and other outlets. I will be aligning all studies with the biblical viewpoint to see how they align and to gain insight. For instance, I will be studying the prophetic aspects of the Jewish Feasts/Festivals as well as researching what other perceptions are out there and how it all aligns with the Bible, which is the Word of God.

HERE is a link to see what time the sun will set and rise in Jerusalem. This is a valuable tool to knowing exactly when the Jewish Holidays begin and end because: Genesis 1:5 …And the evening and the morning were the first day. The Jewish day begins at sunset on the previous calendar day and goes through to sunset of the actual day. So, First Fruits was April 27, 2008… this means that it began at sunset on April 26, 2008 and ended on sunset April 27, 2008 (Jerusalem time). Jerusalem time is 8 hours ahead of Central time in the United States and 7 hours ahead of Eastern Time in the US. This can change due to daylight savings time. Here is a link to the The World Clock – Time Zones.

I would like to add the following study also located in my blog section on the home page. I am adding this here so that it will stay on the page in the future.

The following is a profound study on the Jewish Feasts of the Lord and their corrolation with signs in the heavens just as the Bible predicted. I am also including a few links, which provide more information as well as study charts, etc. You will find these videos very intreaguing. I have linked the video for Part I in a previous post, however, I will post again once I have access to Part II [just posted], so they will all be together in one post. If you would like to know what dates are what between the calendar that we go by verses the Jewish calendar, you can go HERE to do a conversion.

I have always thought that Christ would call the Church home on the Feast of Trumpets. This new info on eclipses is just mind blowing. WOW

Thank you Jim for your comment. I always did too, however, recently I have been open to studying other feasts as options. Really what caused me to study others is a deep hope to go home sooner than Rosh Hashanah. I try to present whatever I can for hopes that it could be on specific feasts even though I may have questions regarding other areas of those ideas. I hope that everyone who reads what I post will look into their Bibles to line everything up.

When I saw the videos and looked through the research tools, I just got so excited. I wanted to send it to everyone that I could. If it sparks encouragement to keep going and nothing more, then it is worth it.

I just posted about Pentecost, please check it out. Thank you again for your comment.

    Sincerely In Christ,
    Alison

    J. James,

I may be over looking something, but I am not sure what you are referencing in regards to the 86 months. Could you please clarify for me? Thank you.

    FEAST FULFILLMENTS

As I’m sure most people know that have studied the 7 feasts of God, they are God’s timetable for dealing with mankind in major ways. They depict the past and the future for His people. I have created many studies on this subject and have even mapped the resurrection week by day of the week on an excel spreadsheet, and found that it is absolutely accuate. The feasts are:

    SPRING FEASTS
PASSOVER – Jesus was crucified Nissan 15/April 11 32 AD, 4 days after riding into Jerusalem on the donkey, fulfilling the pascal requirement of having he lamb in the home for 4 days. On the Jewish calander, he died on a Thursday, as the jews at that time were honoring the Roman calander system. But by Gods timing the 11th was actually still Passover, this is how he could sit at the passover meal and still actually be the passover lamb, on Gods actual day of Passover. This is due to God’s mandate of the Evening beginning a day.

UNLEAVENED BREAD – Jesus was Buried on this feast, which is Nissan 16/April 12 32 AD. A Friday. Jesus became Sin and Sin was put down for the benefit of all mankind. In this feast, there was to be no Leaven in the home, which is symbolic of Sin. This is representative of God commanding Christians to remove sin from their lives.

FIRST FRUITS – Resurrection day. Was honored by the Jews on Saturday, not Sunday. Jesus rose before dawn on Sunday, but was still Saturday on God’s calander, fulfilling this feast also, LITERALLY. He became the first fruits to God.

    SUMMER FEAST
FEAST OF WEEKS/PENTECOT – 50 days after First Fruits – Holy spirit came to the Believers on this Feast day in the upper room, like flames of fire. Based on both verses in the book of Psalms, and the Song of Solomon, it is very possible that this will be the fulfillment of the Rapture, but admittedly could be on the Feast of Trumpets, though it is also possible that there will be two seperate Raptures. Remember, Jesus came in two seperate comings, first as a suffering servant, and next as a Conquering King. So to could He come for His Church on the very aniversay day that He created His Church. For those who are ready.

    FALL FEASTS
FEAST OF TRUMPETS – Could be symbolic of Main Harvest Rapture, is very suggestive of this, and again originally I believed this to be the complete fulfillment of the future Rapture, but again, reading Psalms and also the Song of Solomon, there are verses that almost slap a person with the timing of the Rapture happening earlier in the year than this October feast. Again, there could be two seperate Raptures, the 1st for those who are ready, and the 2nd who realize only too late to be taken first and then must clean Sin from their lives. These WILL NOT go through the Great Tribulation, because NO believer is destined for wrath. Understand that there is a “misnomer” that the Tribulation begins with the Rapture, that is absolutely not true. It begins with the signing of a peace treaty with the Antichrist. The 1st Rapture could happen months or years before this, and persecution of the saints for those remaining through the 1st 3.5 years of the 7 year trib period. Only possibilities, but I have a lot of data to support this possibility. And no, I am not dogmatic of this idea, because as Humans we are flawed.

FEAST OF ATONEMENT – Jesus 2nd Coming, Judgement day in the valley of Megiddo.

FEAST OF TABERNACLES – Jesus was Born on this Day, and He will Tabernacle again with us beginning on this future feast.

This is all a very quick synopsis and in no way details the specifics, just some highpoints.

    Have a blessed day!

      Myra,

I would suggest to first begin with and always line everything you find up with scriptures pertaining to what you are searching for. I would begin in the book of Leviticus chapter 23 where they are described and laid out originally. I would also suggest going to the Blue Letter Bible to help your research as far as searching scriptures goes (to help find them).

Regarding specific “books”, I can’t think of any individually off hand… however, I would suggest checking out Prophecy In The News for some of their book/dvd/cd offers on this subject (from multiple authors) as well as El Shaddai Ministries.

Another good place to check is Zola Levitt Ministries and Voice of Evangelism which both have a lot of info on the Feasts.

Next, I would suggest doing some more searching online including doing a search on YouTube. Most places you will find information that merely scratches the surface but there are some gems (the links I shared have some of those gems). This is a study that once you really dive in to see the prophetic significance each feast represents (as they are a shadow of things to come), you will be amazed at how God’s plan of redemption is laid out so clearly in each harvest (which is what they all are).

I have been studying the feasts for quite a few years now and only recently it seems that the Lord has opened the door to the true prophetic nature of each one, so now the studies are available. I have not posted more of the recent finds I have come across, but maybe it is time to focus a bit more in that area here. =)

Many blessings to you and may the Lord draw you to the information that will help you to understand the depths of His design in His feasts.

      Alison
