I received an email from a very good friend of mine today that I would like to share with you. Before I share the contents of this email, I must state that this is for inquisitive purposes only. Please do not read “too much” into what is stated, but rather keep it as a reference as in things that make you go Hmmm… =D

Now, I am going to copy over verbatum the email. I have not heard of any of this information before I received this message, so… if you have questions regarding this, I may not have the answers for you. However, if you know of anything further regarding this… please feel free to share that information in the comments section of this post for everyone to read… or if you would rather, you can email me at the address link located on the right side bar.

Email

(The email is prefaced by a message from a lady named Joyce, who I do not know)

Scott Walkington experienced a life after death experience. We have
talked with him on several occasions and he spoke at our church. When he
speaks, he is very articulate and he gives details that would be difficult
to relate if this experience had not been real. Jesus gave Scott seven
events that were to happen before the rapture.(1st Thes. 4:13-17; 5:1-4.)
The following is Scott’s thoughts on the past election. The fulfillment
of the following will be the verification of whether Scott had a dream or
his life after death experience was real. Whatever happens, this is definitely
a time for Christians to pray for our families and our nation.

Joyce
The message goes on to state the following:
nde-pic
To:  Dear friends in Christ, Before I start, let me
make this statement … I’m just a messenger, nothing more, nothing less.
Many of you asked in the past year or so who might be elected the next
president, based on the Seven Signs that Jesus gave me in my heaven
experience. And I answered that Obama’s campaign seemed to match many of
the  issues that Jesus promised in this next candidate. I would have liked to shared
this prophecy back then, but I did not want it to look like a political
advertisement. So I chose to write about this AFTER the election. I
can also tell you that this presidential election based on my heaven
experience is prophecy being fulfilled. We’re just one more milestone
closer  to the rapture. Just remember…except for local elections, last
Tuesday’s election was the LAST presidential election we will ever
experience before the rapture. There will be no more!
 Isn’t that exciting?
Here is what’s yet to happen.
 1. Coming in January (inaugeration) … Due to a “problem”, Obama will
NOT be sworn in as the next president. He will never take that office.
Why? I  don’t know. This is the missing piece to the puzzle. We must wait in
anticipation to see whatever this “problem” might be.

2. Bush will be  forced to extend his presidential term until this “problem” can be
 resolved.
Remember, Jesus told me, “The president you know right now (meaning Bush)
will be the last president you will know at the time of the rapture.”
 3. Violence will erupt within our nation due to this “problem”. What might
this be?  Rioting? Demonstrations? Terrorism? We will wait and see.
4. Jesus  told me, “Your troops will be brought home from around the world, but this
does not mean peace.”  Then my minister, Rev. John Rice, (in heaven) said,
“When this happens, stay off the airplanes, the trains and the interstate
highways. If you must cross a river, use a less traveled bridge or a
ferry.  When driving, use as many backroads as possible.”
Then Jesus told me,
“Your nation will need all the help it can get to defend itself.”
 5. World War III will erupt. All the nations will turn against this
nation,  blaming Bush for this “problem”, but by
the time the world realizes that Bush was not to blame, it will be too
 late.
6. Missiles will be dropped on cities on the east coast, then
the west coast, making 9/11 look very minimal.
7. Then by the time we see  missiles and fighter jets flying above us in all directions right here at home and you feel like it can’t get any worse than this, that’s when you
know the rapture is about to take place. Our nation will lose this war
badly. It will be the end of the United States.
At this time the one world  government and the antichrist will take over. All these things I
learned from my heaven experience.   Jesus also told me, “These are all in God’s plan. As horrible as these  events may seem, these events must happen in order for the rapture to take
place. But you must fear not, for as you see these things happen, you must
realize these are merely milestones as we get closer to the rapture. Just
do your works as normally as you possibly can. Then when this time comes,
I  will call you and everyone else on My list, in the twinkle of My eye, just
 that fast.”
Let me finish by saying, I’m just a messenger, nothing  more, nothing less.
God bless,
Scott Walkington
Then the message closes with:

Homosexuality in the Church

Posted by truthoughts on December 9, 2008

Before I begin this article, I know that I will probably spark a lot of controversy and I am not particularly looking forward to the comments that may arise… however, this must be posted. I received an email which contained an article entitled Homosexuals In The Rapture which is written by Jack Kelley who is a major player in the bible prophecy movement. In this article, Mr. Kelley attempts to share why he believes that homosexuals can be saved and still be homosexuals and that there is no reason why they would be prevented from taking part in the rapture of the church. (If this was not his intention, it was not clear)

Now, before you jump to any conclusions of where this post is headed… let me say that I do not necessarily disagree with the points that Mr. Kelley has made in his article, however, I think that he has left out some very important points in the Bible that could be used to argue against his stance. It does not do justice to the Word of God to leave out both sides of the argument so that individuals can have all of the facts when praying about what is truly to be thought of the matter. Anyone who makes their decision on 1/2 truths is not a wise steward. We are to search the scriptures thoroughly to show ourselves approved before God. This is why we are not to rely on man alone, but to align all things with the complete Word of God.

I highly encourage you to read through Mr. Kelley’s article and through what I will include here and then pray about it. Now, in no way am I advocating vengeful acts against homosexuals and I believe that anyone who does such things will be held accountable to God in the end because the Lord has said that vengence is His. God will be the judge of all in the end and He is a righteous judge.  Regarding the topic of salvation, we are to work out our salvation with God ourselves and leave the details of other’s salvation to the Lord to judge.

I am taking my time writing this article to make sure that I make all the points that I can and not allow any misunderstandings. So, by the time I post this article, the referenced article may be “old news”. I was very intrigued that those in the bible prophecy movement so far have not said a peep about this article that I have found. This may not be the case by the time I post this however. I am not trying to ‘bash’ anyone or any group… I am just wanting a little accountability from both sides. This is the reason for me writing this.

Now, one point that Mr. Kelley was trying to make is that the church is filled with sinners who continue to sin but are forgiven once and for all. I agree with that to a point. There is a difference between slipping up and outright consciously committing the sin, whatever that might be. We are to strive for the mark otherwise we are among those who draw back unto perdition (Heb 10:38-39).

The following verses for consideration are not in any particular order. Please consider these verses along with those Mr. Kelley has offered when you pray about what is proper for a child of God. I pray the Lord Jesus give you discernment in the Word of God so that you can stand firm in the Truth as He reveals it to you.

Hebrews 10:26-31For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know him that hath said, Vengeance [belongeth] unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. [It is] a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Hebrews 10:38-39 Now the just shall live by faith: but if [any man] draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Jude 1:7Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Romans 1:26-32For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Ephesians 5:3,7,11-13But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;… Be not ye therefore partakers with them… And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them]. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

John 5:14Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Philippians 3:13-17Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are.

Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination.

Leviticus 20:13If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.

In summary, I have listed some Bible verses to consider in the debate of homosexuality. These verses argue against it and Mr. Kelley’s article argues for it, which is why I have not added those. Again, I highly encourage you to read his article in full to help you gain a full understanding of both sides and in all things… pray. Regardless of the side that you take personally, it comes down to your accountability to the Word of God and what you do with that to His glory.

I personally believe that homosexuality is a sin and as with all sins, can be a struggle for the individual who deals with it. I believe that we are to resist the sinful nature of our bodies which is encouraged against by the enemy (James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.). Now that being said… in the end, it is God who makes the final decision on salvation, but it is the Church who are called to use wisdom in all things and to continually draw closer to the Lord in Truth and encourage others to do the same (Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works). I will leave you with that thought and pray that (Philippians 4:7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.).

A Word of Encouragement in Times of Trouble

Posted by truthoughts on December 6, 2008

With everything happening around the world, many are becoming very discouraged and fearful… some for good reason. Masses are loosing their jobs, prices are sky high, laws are being changed by the day which take away our liberties, among many other reasons. I must admit that I too have felt the fear and pain associated with the times we are living in, but there is encouragement to hold on to.

My husband and I were talking earlier today about the hopelesness of the unknown for so many, which lead to us discussing the account of Abraham and his son Isaac. For those who are unfamiliar with this story, here is a quick excerpt that pertains to our discussion:

Genesis 22

And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, [here] I [am]. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only [son] Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him. Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off. And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.

And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid [it] upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together. And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here [am] I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where [is] the lamb for a burnt offering? And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here [am] I. And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son] from me. And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind [him] a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

Now, pay close attention to the fact that the Lord told Abraham ahead of time that the goal was to offer his son as a sacrafice, so that is what Abraham had to go on. Then take notice that during the trip when Isaac asked his dad where the sacrafice was, he responded that God would provide for Himself a sacrafice. This shows how even though all he (Abraham) had to go on seemed absolutely dreadful, he knew based on his experiences with the Lord following through on His promises (Genesis 17:21), that somehow the Lord would come through even if he did not understand at that moment how or why this had to be.

As we can see, the angel of the Lord intervened right at the very last possible moment. Isn’t that how it always seems to be? God always lets us get to the very end before intervening. We as humans just hate this because we can’t understand why we have to go through such torturous emotions, etc. before coming to the end, however, our ways are not His ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). In the end, we must believe that it will all work out to our benefit (Romans 8:28). Just remember that everything that has been happening around the world and will continue to increase, has already been foretold throughout the Bible. The end is secured in the Word of God and nothing has the power to change it. Know that, “…When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” (Isaiah 59:19).

So, during this time of great darkness, stand firm in the Truth of God’s Word and trust in Him through all things because He will not let you down. We have a light that we are called to shine and we were predestined to live during this age for this purpose, so make the most of it. Stay strong in the Lord, give encouragement and comfort to those around you and rely on the Spirit of God to strengthen and comfort your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. I pray that the peace which surpasseth all understanding will guard you and that the joy that is unspeakable will help to sustain you through all that may come around you.
