Jewish Feasts and Holy Days

This page is a collection of thoughts, both mine and others, as well as studies from the Bible and other outlets. I will be aligning all studies with the biblical viewpoint to see how they align and to gain insight. For instance, I will be studying the prophetic aspects of the Jewish Feasts/Festivals as well as researching what other perceptions are out there and how it all aligns with the Bible, which is the Word of God.

HERE is a link to see what time the sun will set and rise in Jerusalem. This is a valuable tool to knowing exactly when the Jewish Holidays begin and end because: Genesis 1:5 …And the evening and the morning were the first day. The Jewish day begins at sunset on the previous calendar day and goes through to sunset of the actual day. So, First Fruits was April 27, 2008… this means that it began at sunset on April 26, 2008 and ended on sunset April 27, 2008 (Jerusalem time). Jerusalem time is 8 hours ahead of Central time in the United States and 7 hours ahead of Eastern Time in the US. This can change due to daylight savings time. Here is a link to the The World Clock - Time Zones.

I would like to add the following study also located in my blog section on the home page. I am adding this here so that it will stay on the page in the future.

The following is a profound study on the Jewish Feasts of the Lord and their corrolation with signs in the heavens just as the Bible predicted. I am also including a few links, which provide more information as well as study charts, etc. You will find these videos very intreaguing. I have linked the video for Part I in a previous post, however, I will post again once I have access to Part II [just posted], so they will all be together in one post. If you would like to know what dates are what between the calendar that we go by verses the Jewish calendar, you can go HERE to do a conversion.

Acts 20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
1 Thessalonians 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as [do] others; but let us watch and be sober.
1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

I have always thought that Christ would call the Church home on the Feast of Trumpets. This new info on eclipses is just mind blowing. WOW

  3. truthoughts Says:

Thank you Jim for your comment. I always did too, however, recently I have been open to studying other feasts as options. Really what caused me to study others is a deep hope to go home sooner than Rosh Hashanah. I try to present whatever I can for hopes that it could be on specific feasts even though I may have questions regarding other areas of those ideas. I hope that everyone who reads what I post will look into their Bibles to line everything up.

When I saw the videos and looked through the research tools, I just got so excited. I wanted to send it to everyone that I could. If it sparks encouragement to keep going and nothing more, then it is worth it.

I just posted about Pentecost, please check it out. Thank you again for your comment.

    Sincerely In Christ,
