David,

Thank you for your input. This really is the 'sticky' point of trying to pin down these feasts. For those of us not actually in Jerusalem, we cannot know the exact time. I wish there was someone over there - a farmer, lol... who was Messianic and could share these tidbits with all of us on the other side of the world ;-)

Thank you again for your comment.

Sincerely In Christ,
Alison

one might want to take a closer look at the barley offering. it is tied to the crop being ready to harvest, not the Days of Unleavened Bread. Look closely. Yes the year Christ died and rose it was during UB but the directions are clear and they do not lock the wave offering to the Days of UB. we continue to grow as we humbly seek truth

Just commenting on your describing the leaven in the loaves. Leaven in not baked out. Leaven causes the loaf to rise. Yes, leaven is symbolic of sin. But the Holy Spirit does not bake out sin in us. Yes, sin is in our bodies as Paul states in Romans 7. But Paul is not, in this case, linking Sin to an act of disobedience to God. In the first 5 chapters of Romans, Paul uses the word sin to describe acts of disobedience, after Romans 6, the word sin describes the indwelling entity or power of sin. He is describing the entity of Sin which dwells in his body and our bodies (Rom. 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me). Our crucifixion with Christ in Roman 6:6 is what frees us from indwelling Sins power over us. Our being crucified with Christ is that which allows us who are indwelt by Christ to be a body which He can live in and through as we trust him (Galatians 2:20). We can either yield to Christ who indwells our spirits, or to Sin which indwells in our bodies (Romans 6:12-16). When we trust, then Christ lives, and sin is powerless to control us even though he may try. When we fail to trust sin is more than happy to resume his control. The Holy Spirit, who lifes out Christ's life within us, will remind us of our failure and lead us back to trusting. Read Watchman Nee's The Normal Christian Life. Unfortunately, the entity of sin remains in our bodies until death or we are changed at the soon coming rapture.

Very true Cheryl! Another bit of info that would make sense for it happening this year is that we are coming to the closure of the Sabbatical year for the Hebrew calendar. Currently, I am looking also at the Rapture possibilities being on the Feast of First Fruits (Wheat Harvest), which occurs this year on April 10-11th (sunset to sunset Jerusalem time). Very interesting correlations there as well. Keep your eyes open and head lifted up!

BTW, I am very glad you brought up praying that we are accounted worthy..." I pray this every night and hope that others do as well. Thank you for reminding everyone :-)

Sincerely In Christ,
Alison

HI,
it was so amazing to google "Rapture is on Pentecost" and find you and so many others who see the clarity in Gods word regarding the rapture on this feast. I have been praying for few months for God to show me when His rapture would be, in regards to what jewish feast it would fall on. I have been studying the different holy days and when I came to the feast of pentecost, I could not beleive how much related to the rapture! I kept reading and with every sentense I read, I became more excited! I beleive we are suppose to know the feast it will happen on, and I beleive that Paul and John new. What we are not sure of is the year. But the body of Christ (true believeres) will know when it is right at the door. Pentecost 2009 could very well be it but I will not say forsure because, although everything in the NWO is rapidly coming into play and the elites of this world have thier own dates set for starting all this(which is within the next 6-10 months), God is capable of "holding these things back" untill HIS appointed year. The other thing that lines up with this year is the planet X that is seen now with in the southern parts of the globe and is going to be at a very specific point in its orbit around the sun on Dec.21 2012. That really points to mid trib events descibed in Daniel, Revelation and Isaiah. But again, God can even hold this palnets orbit back till HIS appointed time.So thanks for the wonderful website of encouragement and God bless as you watch for His coming!Don't forget to "pray that your accounted worthy to escape all these things." Your sister in Christ, Cheryl

"I am also told that Pentecost marks the 33rd counting of the “omer.”

This is incorrect, and it is clearly in the Bible. You count 49 days of the omer, and the 50th day from Yom HaBikkurim is Shavu'ot.

Eugene,

First I would like to thank you for your comment, however, I am not Mark Biltz. I am just a blogger who posted his findings. Secondly, regarding predicting the rapture, I have not made any official predictions. I have presented views that people have regarding why they believe the rapture might happen on specific feast days. I have posted about the feast of First Fruits and Pentecost so far and I plan on posting regarding Rosh Hashanah as well. In all of my posts regarding predictions, I always end them with the fact that these may or may not be the day it happens - therefore it isn't an official prediction. I do believe that we are very close and that 2008 has some very strong backing for it to be this year. Either way, it is going to happen soon and I would like for everyone to be ready for when it does.

Regarding Pentecost happening already for 2008, some think it hasn't happened yet. Counting 50 days past the 7th week, you would actually come to August 4, 2008. I have not posted on this because I was never able to clear enough time to do a proper study on the information that was presented to me by one of my readers.

I encourage you to read through my other studies regarding the Feasts of the Lord and the Rapture corrolations. I will be updating my Rapture Theories page as soon as I can to include all of the options that the Church believes could be a possiblity.

Thank you again for your comment and I hope that I have cleared up all misunderstandings. Have a blessed day in the Lord.

Sincerely In Christ,
Alison

Mark;

I was very impressed with the revelation of the tetrad of blood moons in 2014-2015 and the eclipses of the sun on 1 Nisan and 1 Tishri in 2015 that you presented. I fully agree that the Lord is trying to tell us something significant about His soon coming. However, when you went so far as to pinpoint the rapture of the church on Pentecost of 2008, I feel that you went too far with your predictions. Yes, the rapture could occur any day, but now that Pentecost has come and gone, and the church is still here, do you have any explanation as to where your prediction went wrong?

Muriel,

I completely agree with you. I added an edit in my post that Pentecost this year is on June 15th (sunset June 14th to sunset June 15th). You are correct that this is a Sabbatical year and I agree with you that the 70th week of Daniel will begin and end on a Sabbatical year.

I did not think about it being on Father's Day in the US. Hmmm... Interesting! Hopefully we will be meeting you in the air soon... (this weekend???) :-)

Thank you very much for your comment. Have a blessed day!

Sincerely In Christ,

Personally, for a long time I had felt Rosh Ha-Shanah was when Jesus would come, but for several years now I leaned toward Pentecost for the reasons you mentioned (if the Lord were to come on a Jewish feast day). However, I believe that modern Jewery celebrates Pentecost on the wrong date. It should be seven weeks after Firstfruits, which was on a Sunday, the day after the Sabbath. You might say that meant the High Sabbath, but then Pentecost was to be celebrated the day after the seventh Sabbath after Firstfruits (see Leviticus 23, starting at verse 15 (I think it's verse 15 anyway, the verse # is hard to read)). Therefore, I believe that by Biblical reckoning, this year Pentecost should be celebrated starting at sundown Israeli time on Saturday, June 14th.
Coincidentally, this year Pentecost overlaps Father's Day in the US. Wouldn't that be a great time to meet our Heavenly Father?
Also, I believe from what I've read on the net that the current Jewish year is a sabbatical year, and I believe that Daniel's 70th week will be a 7 year Sabbatical cycle.

You might say that meant the High Sabbath, but then Pentecost was to be celebrated the day after the seventh Sabbath after Firstfruits (see Leviticus 23, starting at verse 15 (I think it’s verse 15 anyway, the verse # is hard to read)). Therefore, I believe that by Biblical reckoning, this year Pentecost should be celebrated starting at sundown Israeli time on Saturday, June 14th.
Coincidentally, this year Pentecost overlaps Father’s Day in the US. Wouldn’t that be a great time to meet our Heavenly Father?
Also, I believe from what I’ve read on the net that the current Jewish year is a sabbatical year, and I believe that Daniel’s 70th week will be a 7 year Sabbatical cycle.

Paarsurrey,

I appreciate your comment, however, I believe that it is impossible for the Lord to have come back during that time for many reasons. One reason in particular is that Israel was not a nation then and that is one thing that had to be before the Lord could come back.

The God of Christianity is not the same god worshiped of Islam. There is a man coming soon who will claim to be the true god, but will actually be an anti-christ and will be destroyed when the true Christ comes back at the end of the Great Tribulation period.

The Bible states Jesus saying:

Matthew 24:5 “For many shall come in My name, saying I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” Also in Mark 13:6

Luke 21:8 “And He said, take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.”

John 5:43 “I am come in My Father’s name, and ye receive Me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.” The ‘him’ in this verse is speaking of the Anti-christ.

When our Lord does come, there will be no mistaking it because the mountains will melt, the islands will flee away and great earthquakes will happen… all at the same time, and every eye will see Him coming in the clouds with His saints to make war with the nations who come against Israel. There truly will be no mistaking His arrival.

Thank you again for your comment.

Sincerely,
Alison

Please don’t mind. This might interest you.

The SecondComing of Jesus has already happened in the form of the PromisedMessiah 1835-1908 fullfilling the signs as prophesised by Jesus and Muhammad. In my opinion, the Christians, Muslims and Jews should accept him.

Kindly visit my blog for interesting posts in this connection for your peaceful comments and or discussions on the pages/posts there. Differing opnion are also welcome.

Gary Gibson,

Ah, very interesting... I agree with all you said with the church of Philadelphia and the other churches. A lot of people don't like to pay attention to that... probably because they are in the other churches and do not want to repent and give themselves 'completely' to God.

I understand why you believe the two witnesses to be Elijah and Moses, I believe them to be Elijah and Enoch because those are the only two who have not died and since it is appointed to men, once to die, and the two witnesses are killed in the street and left for 3 days and then resurrected... this is why I believe the other to be Enoch.

I am glad to not have to be here during that scary time and I pray for those who will be here because they were not ready in time... the foolish virgins.

Thank you so much for your insightful comment. Peace to you and we will see you soon in the air with Christ.

Sincerely In Christ,
Alison
